Whatch out for the Shitstorm

The San Francisco Chronicle said Saturday Feb.1st 2.7 million gallons of treated and raw sewage from the plant operated by the Sewerage Agency of Southern Marin found its way into the bay, a tidal marsh with currents that could carry the contaminant-filled effluence past Sausalito and Tiburon into San Francisco Bay.
The estimated amount of sewage from Thursday's spill could cover an entire football field more than six feet deep and could pose a significant risk to wildlife and potentially to people.
To help warn people of the potential dangers should they enter the contaminated water, signs indicating the risk have been posted at San Francisco beaches and along the Marin County shoreline.
Tests have been taken of the area water supply to determine the level of contamination, but officials are still awaiting the results.
The Chronicle reported the spill occurred when a worker did not activate enough pumps to handle the amount of water traveling through the California plant.
