Oil globs in Pacifica

Don't know if I believe it.... The Coast Guard has confirmed the oil globs found in
Pacifica and Half Moon Bay areas are not from the Cosco Busan. They
were caused by a natural seepage in the ocean floor, perhaps generated
by the winter storms opening up a fissure in the ocean floor. > >

Fw: [SurfPulse] Surf Report & Oil Spill

------ Email ------
Oil globs washed up on some local San Mateo County Beaches on Monday,
January 28, 2008 and today. As of this morning, Linda Mar and Rockaway
Beaches were closed in Pacifica, as well as the Fitzgerald Marine
Reserve in Moss Beach. And surf conditions remain very poor, so we
recommend staying out of the water today.

Fw: [SurfPulse] Surf Report

------ Email ------
Saturday 1-26-08 at 7:49 AM PST
Unfortunately this morning the winter, stormy type conditions we have
all grown accustomed to are back. The surf this morning is in the head
high to double overhead range and very mixed up, disorganized, sloppy,
choppy and whatever other word you can think of to describe
nonrideable surf. On the up side, the rain has ceased for the time
being and the air is still, however it looks like there will be no
surfing happening out here this morning.

BUSTIN DOWN THE DOOR MOVIE

During the winter of 1975 in Hawaii, surfing was shaken to its core. A group of young surfers from Australia and South Africa sacrificed everything and put it all on the line to create a sport, a culture, and an industry that is today worth billions of dollars and has captured the imagination of the world. With a radical new approach and a brash colonial attitude, these surfers crashed headlong into a culture that was not ready for revolution.
Surfing was never to be the same again.

Thursday 1-10-08 at 8:23 AM PSTIf you like it big, bad and ugly, then today is your epic day. From what little I can make out under the mist and fog is solid double overhead surf with maybe an occasional triple overhead wave breaking out there somewhere. As far as the outer bar is concerned, conditions look somewhat rideable in a punishing, relentless, torturous type of way. It won't be easy getting out there to say the least, with consistent head high or so walls of water pounding the inside bar, creating a giant obstacle on your path to glory. Overall, conditions are big and somewhat out of control, however if you enjoy the big stuff, than you might find a working peak or two out there somewhere. As far as the weather goes, it's wet, drizzly, overcast, but most importantly the air is still and the ocean is smooth other than the waves.

Anyone get to skate this?
